The Calendar

Eustris is a planet about the size of Earth, and it spends 24 hours rotating once about its own axis. An orbit around the sun takes 365 days, and every four years a leap day is added to make the calendar add up.

The normal farmer does not care about the date or when the leap day is added, but for the scholars who are trying to keep track of time, this is very important.

The inhabitants use the Tomik Imperial Date, abbreviated TID, named after an empire that spans most of the present Eloisan Empire, the Duchy of Saltodon, and perhaps even further east. The Tomik Empire began their reign more than 3,000 years ago. The year today is 3117 and therefore not a leap year, 3116 was a leap year and 3120 will be a leap year.

The overview below shows weekdays, which tasks most people associate with the days of the week, the months, the seasons and the number of days in each month.
