Monsters in the world of Kaosidyl

You can find all types of monsters if you look hard enough, but who is to say it is a good idea to go monster hunting?

The monsters mentioned below should give an overview of the rarity of specific monsters, and from that you can assume how rare a monster is that is not on the list.

Humans, elves, dwarves, etc. are not on the list as they fit into all the rarity levels.

Common monsters
The monsters on this list are the most common monsters you can find (but far from the only ones). The list is made alphabetically, so skeletons are as common as goblins are.

  • Goblin
  • Kobold
  • Orc
  • Skeleton
  • Zombie

Uncommon monsters
The uncommon monsters are a bit hard to find. But there is no guarantee that you will not stumble across a cave filled with hobgoblins. As with the regular monsters, the list is arranged alphabetically.

  • Black Elves
  • Bugbear
  • Ghoul
  • Hobgoblin
  • Lizardfolk
  • Ogre
  • Wight

Rare monsters
The rare monsters are a much smaller batch, than those on the two previous lists, but they are not quite on a par with the very rare and mythological monsters. As with the regular monsters, the list is arranged alphabetically.

  • Ettin
  • Minotaur
  • Mummy
  • Wraith
  • Wyvern

Very rare monsters
The very rare monsters are just that, very rare. That means you don’t just run around and bump into them by chance. The very rare monsters are, like the previous ones, arranged alphabetically.

  • Element (including all subraces of elements)
  • Giant (including all subraces of giants)
  • Golem (including all versions of golem)
  • Vampire

Mythological monsters
The most rare of all, the mythological monsters are precisely mythological for a reason. The probability of encountering one of these monsters is as close to impossible as it can get. Should you encounter one of these monsters, run as fast as you can, or prepare to fight for your life, because the chance of you getting out of there alive is very small.

  • Dragon (including all subraces of dragons minus Wyvern)
  • Lich
