Money and Magical Items

Equipment and money
All equipment mentioned in the core books is available. Some of it may be in limited supply depending on where in the world you are.

Usually all equipment is bought with money, and money is of course what makes the economy go around. The price list in books is used as a guideline, as it is likely to be at least twice as high in areas outside the big cities, and some areas even more depending on the availability of the item.

The two most important coins used are silver and copper coins, and all prices will usually be mentioned in silver coins. So earning a gold coin is a pretty big deal, usually only used to trade large batches of goods, also the “heroes” of the world, do not run around with a million coins in their pockets. The money they earn, they probably invest in equipment, horses or pack animals.

Magical items
The world is not entirely without magical objects, but they are rare and thus valued by their owners. It is possible to make your own permanent magic items, but it takes a long time to make and require the rare Vortex ore, no matter what permanent item you want to make. There is, however, a chance of failure and it is up to GM to determine the chance.

It is possible to make non-permanent objects such as wands, one-shot objects (potions, oils, etc.) without Vortex ore. These items are all “perishable” objects. All magical objects with charges in any form (a potion is a single charge item) are perishables and cannot be recharged.

If you are so lucky to stumble across a magical object, you need to attune to it. This takes a while, and how much depends on the item. There may be a quest involved in the attunement, if this is the case, the owner of the object will discover this during what would normally be the attunement time.
